A common question I get about the A place to track your ideas idea is why not just use sites like Reddit, X/Twitter, Hacker News, etc. to gather feedback.
Share more information
On most sites, you are limited to a single post and comment. Obviously, you can create lots of posts and comments, but the content is spread with no easy way to find it.
Over here, besides for the primary Idea, you can have blog posts associated with the idea, where you can go more in-depth and share more information. Similar to how this post is explaining common questions.
Idea landing page
Since this is a good place to gather all the information about your ideas, whenever you discuss your ideas online, you can also share a link to the Idea for people to get more information.
Portfolio of Ideas
Some people of easily shareable portfolios of their work, but not of their Ideas. This site gives you a personal landing page where you can share all of your Ideas. As an example, you can see mine here.
Following Ideas
Users can also subscribe directly to Ideas or your profile to get updates about the Idea or all your Ideas.
Private Ideas
I'm also working on adding the option to have Private Ideas. These are Ideas that are not visible unless they are invited. This is a great way to gather feedback from a specific group of users.
Discovery
Once there are lots of Ideas on the platform, there will be a way to discover and follow Ideas.
